E + Selenium
E + SELENIUM has been proven conclusively that these essential nutrients affect both health and performance in your horse. Horses in training need increased levels of Vitamin E and Selenium to maintain proper metabolism to minimize the deleterious affects associated with stress and hard work. Supplementing will improve muscle tone, muscle soreness, reduction in muscle spasms and stiffness.
Selenium works in synergy with Vitamin E; nutritional value enhanced when supplemented together. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant and is non-toxic. Selenium is necessary for maintenance of muscle, and it is suggested that the race horse or performance horse obtain at least 2 mg of Selenium daily. Deficiencies of selenium can result in "tying up" syndrome. Vitamin E and Selenium are considered effective in treating and preventing re-occurrence of the disability.
